WEEK OF APRIL 29

 

Andrew Cole       JR    Boys' Tennis

Andrew went 3-1 this past week. He picked up his first career singles win over Hamilton. In the Coaches Classic this weekend Andrew and his partner Adam Green finished as runner-ups in the first doubles flight. Andrew is a member of the choir and also played a key role in the school musical.

 

Drew Wetterich     SR      Baseball

The team went 4-1 due in large part to Drew hitting .500 (9-18), 9 runs scored, 3 RBI, 3B, with on base % of .545 (12-22) 

 

Mitch Luken    SR       Boys' Track

Mitch is an exceptional leader of the boys distance squad and he maintains a 3.93 G.P.A. At Kings Field Event Festival on Saturday, Mitch took home first place in the 2000m Steeple Chase.

 

Dana Garadah    JR   Girls' Track

Dana is a leader for the Highlander sprint squad on and off the track. She triple scored at the Ross Invitational, highlighting her night by leading off the girls winning 4x400 relay.

 



 

WEEK OF APRIL 22

 

Michaela Cassidy       Softball    Junior

Michaela  has been a consistent offensive force in the 2 hole for the Highlanders currently hitting .525 with .612 on base percentage. Michaela has 7 stolen bases, 4 triples, 2 doubles and 11 RBIs. Last week Michaela hit .692 in a 5 game series. Michaela ranks among the top in her class and is currently taking 1 AP class and 5 honors classes.

 

Josie Wefer     Softball      Sophomore

Josie has been a consistent offensive force in the 3 spot for the Highlanders currently hitting .564 with .646 on base percentage. Josie has 5 stolen bases, 2 triples, 4 doubles and 21 rbi. Last week Josie hit .625 in a 5 game series. Josie academically ranks among the top students in her class as well.

 

Neil Meyer    Boys' Volleyball    Senior

This week Neil helped Oak Hills to a 2-1 record by accumulating 63 assists, 24 digs, 4 blocks, 3 aces, and 2 kills. Neil is now second all-time with 874 career assists for Oak Hills.

 

 

WEEK OF APRIL 8

 

Tyler Murphy      Sr.   Baseball 

Earned Oak Hills first win over Princeton, a 1-0 shutout. He pitched 6 Innings, giving up 0 runs, 2 hits and had 12 strikeouts. 

Lasse Arndt     Jr.   Boys' Tennis

Lasse opened up the season going 2-0 at first singles with wins over Elder and Harrison. Lasse carries a 3.8 GPA and is also a member of the Oak Hills soccer team.

Syd Bledsoe    Jr.      Softball

 Syd hit 9 for 14 in her first 4 games going .692 with 7 RBI and 3 doubles. She had clutch hits for the Highlanders 3-1 start to the season, and she fielded 1.000.

Toby Boehringer Sr.   Boys'  Volleyball

 Toby helped lead the Highlanders to a 2-0 start to the season. In 2 matches this week Toby totaled 44 kills, 4 blocks, 3 aces, 11 digs, hit with an amazing .526 efficiency and .580 kill percentage. Toby leads the GMC with 4.89 kills/game.

Daniel Rauch   Jr.   Boys' Tennis

Daniel went 3-0 this past week.  He picked up 2 GMC singles wins against Princeton and Colerain.  After down a set with doubles partner Andrew Cole, they came back to win in a 3rd set tie-breaker at Anderson.  Daniel is also a member of National Honor Society.

Chance Schneider  Sr.   Boys' Track

Chance is an exceptional leader for the Highlander track team and selflessly volunteers his time with our youth programs.  At the Coaches' Classic this past weekend, he won the discus with a season's best throw of 136'7".
