Weston Fillnow Boys' Basketball Fr.
Weston is a multi-sport athlete who excels as an athlete, a student and a person. He attends most every morning shooting opportunity, works extremely hard to improve himself as an athlete (Basketball and Baseball), and serves as a leader/great teammate on and off the court. He attends our Oak Hills Chapter of FCA and First Priority meetings- Christian Groups. He is also a member of S.A.L.T. (Student Athlete leaders), and he currently has earned a 4.563 GPA.
Jett Sloan Boys' Swimming Jr.
Jett led the highlander men to an overall 5th place finish out of 14 teams at the Princeton Invitational. Jett dominated the 200 freestyle field with a time of 1:46.00, securing his gold medal with an almost 3 second lead on the entire field. He then went on to get second place in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.19. Jett has been consistently posting times that are impressive on all standards, and is currently ranked top 200 in the nation among all 200 freestyles this high school season. His current times would put him in the top 8 at last year’s OHSAA state championship in most events of his choosing. Jett is set to close out an amazing junior season, already being less than 1.5 seconds away from breaking three different school records.
Audrey Schnorbus Academic Team Jr.
Audrey is off to a great start this season! She is a great teammate and one of the top students in the class of 2027! Audrey challenges herself everyday by taking multiple AP and CCP courses!
Maddie Broxterman Girls' Bowling Sr.
It was a good week on the lanes for Senior Maddie Broxterman. Between a tournament and 2 matches, Maddie averaged 144.4 pins per game, which was 13 pins above her current average. At the Back to School Bash, Maddie finished 41st individually out of more than 125 participating bowlers, rolling on a very difficult oil pattern. Then, on Thursday at Stones vs. St. Ursula Academy, Maddie rolled her current high 2-game series of 330 pins, including a season high game of 187.
Max Hoeting Boys' Bowling Soph.
Max has worked hard over the summer and his hard work has paid off as he has been bumped up to varsity this season. Max is a great teammate who brings positivity and energy to the team.
Ava Kammerer Girls' Basketball Sr
Ava, a senior captain, scored 40 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and had 5 assists in 2 games this past week. Ava recently scored her 1000th career point and currently ranks 2nd in the GMC in scoring and is in the top 10 in rebounds.
