Lucy Schutte           Girls' Track          Jr.
Lucy had an outstanding week, helping lead her team to a championship at the Harrison Invitational with a strong lead-off leg in the 4x800. She also won the mile in a personal best performance. A few weeks ago, she ran a big PR in the 3200 and is now ranked #11 in the state. Lucy continues to be a great leader, setting the tone for the team with her work ethic and positive attitude.

Owen Huff              Boys' Track              Soph.
Owen has had a great start to his season and put together an outstanding performance at the Harrison Invitational. He ran personal best times in both the 4x800 and the 3200, helping his team win both events. Owen’s work ethic stands out, and he continues to improve each time he competes. He is also an amazing teammate, always cheering others on and showing strong support for everyone on the team.

Maya Hill                Girls' Track              Sr.
Maya is a very tough competitor who has the ability to focus and block out distractions when the need arises.  She placed in 4 events at the Harrison Invitational.  Maya was 1st place in long jump, 4th in the 200m and part of the 1st place 4x100m and 5th place 4x200m relay teams.

Ben Klaserner            Boys' Track               Jr.
Ben ran personal best in the 110m high hurdles of 14.99 at the Harrison Invitational.  This effort earned him 2nd place.  He also placed 6th in the 300m hurdles and was part of the 2nd place 4x400m relay team.  Ben is a strong team leader, whose examples of preparation, team centered priorities and positive attitude help to elevate his teammates.

Rylan Cox              Boy's Lacrosse              Sr.
With our 2-1 record Last week Rylan was a huge contributor doing extremely well on faceoffs and giving us several goals at important spots in our 2 wins. He went 71% on Saturday and 60% in our win Thursday.

Brooke Hoffmeier              Softball                  Soph
Sophomore Shortstop, Brooke Hoffmeier had a solid week for the Highlanders. In the leadoff spot Brooke went 3/4 against Mason helping the Highlanders clench a big 11-0 league win. Brooke also went 1/2 against Middletown drawing 2 walks. Brooke's solo home run Friday night against Simon Kenton put the Highlanders on the board for the eventual 2-0 win. Brooke's offense has been hot and consistent through the start of the season helping her team to a 10-4 start. She not only leads on the field but in the classroom as well with 4.6 gpa.

Gracie Metz                Girls' Lacrosse               Soph
Gracie has been a defensive standout all season, serving as our designated face guard and consistently limiting opposing teams’ top scorers. This past week, she played a key role in containing Lakota West and Little Miami’s leading attackers. She has recorded 15 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers this season, and added a milestone moment by scoring her first varsity goal as a defender against Princeton last week.
