" After spending the first 19 years of my career in the classroom, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in athletics at Oak Hills. This community has been nothing but fantastic to me. I strive to continue to build upon the academic and athletic opportunities that are available and provide the best possible experiences to our students," Hageman shared. Hageman is entering his 20th year with the Oak Hills Local School District. During his time at Oak Hills, he coached football and basketball, in addition to track and field. Most recently he served as Co-Head Coach of both the girls and the boys track programs. He was named GMC Coach of the Year in 2004. During his head coaching tenure, Highlanders athletes broke 25 school track records. Along with his wife Shellie, he founded the OHYA Track and Field program in the Oak Hills district that provides opportunities for athletes to compete in grades K-6. Professionally, Hageman was a Co-Department Chair in the English department where he taught AP Seminar and Journalism, in addition to working with the school's newspaper, The Tartan. He is a master teacher in the state of Ohio and has his Lead Teacher Endorsement from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to his Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, he also holds a Master's degree in Educational Foundations. Prior to teaching, Hageman worked in a Public Affairs Office in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga. He currently lives in the Oak Hills School District with his wife and their three daughters, Julia (13), Annabelle (11) and Josie Bea (5). ![]() |

Coach Branson was a decorated wrestler for Bellarmine University and was a 4-year wrestling team captain. When his career was completed, he held records for most career wins and most career pins. He was the first Bellarmine wrestler to be a National Qualifier, was 1st-Team All-GLVC and two-time 2nd Team All-GLVC, while being a Dean's list student-athlete. Coach Branson began his coaching career at Anderson High School prior to coming to Oak Hills and was a state qualifying high school wrestler and two-time USA wrestling All-American at Glen Este High School. "I am excited for the opportunity to take over a wrestling program with such a rich history. I look forward to the new challenges I will face becoming Oak Hills next wrestling coach. Nick Continenza graduated from the University of Akron in 2007 with a bachelor's degree qualifying him to teach high school science. While at the University of Akron, he competed on the track and field team as a decathlete, where he earned All-Mid American Conference honors four times. Nick began his track and field coaching career in 2006 and his cross country coaching career in 2010. Before arriving at Oak Hills, he coached at Chardon High School and Cleveland Heights High School. Nick joined the Highlanders in 2015. He is currently the head boys cross country coach and head girls and boys track & field coach. On the track and field staff, Nick currently coaches the distance athletes and pole vault athletes. Although he also specializes in long jump, hurdles, sprints, and sprint relays. Nick’s favorite track event is the 4x400m relay and his favorite field event is pole vault. ![]() |

Jackie has been teaching and coaching softball since 2006. On top of a D1 collegiate career, Jackie competed professionally in the states, as well as abroad. Prior to coming to Oak Hills, she taught in Three Rivers Local School District and coached at Mount Notre Dame High School. Jackie graduated from Cleveland State University in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Arts, and has a Master's Degree from the University of New England. Jackie is a 2012 Oak Hills Hall of Fame Inductee and is a 2001 graduate of Oak Hills High School, where she was a three sport athlete. Jackie has two children, Kameron (Oakdale) and Kennedy (Dulles) who both attend Oak Hills schools. Jackie and her family reside in Bridgetown. ![]() |

Head Coach DJ Dunn is a former Highlander who graduated in 2015. He started playing lacrosse in 2011 with the Westside Wildcats and was part of the inaugural season as a freshman at OH in 2012 when the Highlanders started the boys' lacrosse program. Coach Dunn played lacrosse for all four years of his high school career and for the last 2 years has been an assistant coach for Highlander lacrosse.

Teri Egbers is the Girls' Varsity Golf Coach. She has been the head, varsity coach since 2016. She was the Oak Hills Middle School Girls' golf coach for 4 years & the Bridgetown Middle School Boys' golf coach prior to moving to varsity. The goal of Oak Hills Girls Golf is to inspire young ladies to learn and enjoy the sport of golf and it's diverse athletic and emotional challenges and successes. Building comradery & self-esteem is foremost, while improving golf skills. Teri is an Oak Hills Alum who lives, works & coaches in Oak Hills. She is the counselor at Bridgetown Middle School. She sits on the CYO Track and Field board and coaches the Springmyer track team, as well as the districts 5th and 6th grade track team. Coach Hageman is an Oak Hills High School alumni and was inducted into the athletic Hall of Fame in 2013. Collegiately, she competed for the University of Cincinnati in both Track and Field and Cross Country. My name is Robin Hoernschmeyer, I’ve been the Head Girls Bowling Coach at Oak Hills High School since 2012. I am a 2005 Oak Hills graduate who attended the University of Cincinnati earning my degree in Middle Childhood Education. Many students have seen me around as I was a substitute teacher in the district for 6 years before taking a full-time coordinator position with the American Cancer Society. I myself am an avid bowler, bowling pretty much my entire life. I was a member of the Oak Hills Girls Varsity Bowling team from 2003-2005. During the 2004-2005 season my team and I advanced to the state tournament, placing 5th as a team and I placed 2nd overall individually. I grew up in Delhi and still live in Delhi with my family and our 7 pets. During my coaching career I have had 3 teams place 1st in the GMC, I have received the GMC Coach of the Year twice and have had numerous bowlers make 1st and 2nd team All-Conference. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with so many outstanding student athletes at Oak Hills and cannot wait to see what next season holds! ![]() |

Coach Leurck is well-versed in Oak Hills Baseball, serving as JV Coach from 1999-2001 and then Varsity Assistant for the following twelve seasons. In 2013, Leurck was named the Assistant Coach of the Year for the OHSBCA Southwest District. Coach Leurck became a head coach in 2015 at Talawanda and has since been the head coach at Lakota West and LaSalle High School. In 2017, he led Lakota West to an appearance in the state semi-finals. Greg was named the GMC, SWOBCA, Journal News, and Enquirer Coach of the Year in 2017. He also served as the President of the Southwest Ohio Baseball Coaches Association from 2013-2015. Greg is a 1994 graduate of La Salle High School and a two year letter winner in baseball. He played collegiately at Shawnee State University (1995) and Northern Kentucky University (1996-1998). He was named to the GLVC All-Academic team and team captain his senior year. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health Education from NKU. Greg will receive his master’s in Sports Administration in the Spring of 2022. Coach Leurck has taught in the Oak Hills School District since the Fall of 1999 and iis currently teaching at Bridgetown Middle School. He and his wife Jennifer reside in Harrison with their children Lydia, Lauren and Luke. ![]() |

Coach McCarthy is a 2016 graduate of Oak HIlls where she was a member of the volleyball team all 4 years. As a player, Coach McCarthy was 1st team GMC as a junior and senior and the leader in assists until this past season when Riley Broughton broke her record. Coach McCarthy has followed her passion for volleyball and is currently coaching two school teams in addition to club volleyball for CYVBC Surge. Darien McDowell II, Class of 2013, is in his first season as the head men's volleyball coach at Oak Hills High School. McDowell as a player, holds records at Oak Hills for attacks in a match, aces in a season, and is amongst the top in rankings for kills in a season, attempts in a season, serve-receive, and digs in a season. McDowell also served as a team captain and was voted most valuable player his senior year. McDowell received recognition as 2nd Team All Ohio, 1st Team All Region, 1st Team All GMC, and GMC Athlete of the Year, under Chris Morman in 2013. McDowell and the 2013 Highlanders were undefeated GMC Champions, placed 3rd in the region, climbed to a top 5 in state ranking, and finished with a record of 18-4, which is the program’s most wins and least losses in a season. McDowell started his coaching career at Finneytown High School as a girl’s JV head coach in 2018, and then took over as the varsity head coach in 2019. The 2019 Wildcats had their best season since 2009 with an undefeated out of conference schedule, district final appearance, climbing to as high as number 4 in the region in the Coaches’ Poll, and a 9-14 record on the season. McDowell also served as a boy’s JV head coach and varsity assistant roll in 2019 for Walnut Hills High School during their undefeated ECC championship season. McDowell aided in the Eagles receiving the AVCA Team Academic Award, a national recognition for team GPA. In addition to his work at the high school level, McDowell was added to the Thomas More University men’s volleyball coaching staff as the head strength and conditioning coach and assistant coach for the Saints in 2019. McDowell also served as a strength and conditioning coach for the University of Cincinnati’s #1 overall ranked women’s club volleyball team in 2019-2020. McDowell played Division I and III football at Morehead State University and Mount St. Joe University before finishing school at the University of Cincinnati as a health science major and marketing minor. McDowell’s sister, Ashley, was a state runner up in 2005 at Mother of Mercy HS, and played volleyball at the University of South Florida. ![]() |

Mike was the first Girls' Lacrosse Coach at Oak Hills and helped start the program in 2016 with two other past players Athena Caneris and Olivia Lang, who are now both Assistant Coaches for the team. Mike's daughters Colleen and Shannon have also helped coach the Varsity and JV teams. He was the Girls' Lacrosse GMC Coach of the Year in 2019. Mike started coaching boys' lacrosse with his son and later helped start a girls' lacrosse middle school team with his daughter Shannon. He went on to coach the Girls' JV Lacrosse team at Seton High School for 3 years while his two daughters played on the Varsity Lacrosse team at Seton. He really enjoys teaching the game of girls' lacrosse and looks forward to another great Highlander Girls' Lacrosse season. ![]() |

Coach Roden is a veteran coach with 19 years of experience, during that time he led East Central High school to a 4A state championship in 2017, three regional championships, a state runner-up berth, and five Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference championships. He was the Indiana Football Coaches Association 4A Coach of the Year in 2017, and five-time EIAC Coach of the Year. A defensive coordinator for the Highlanders in 2006-2008, Coach Roden spent a combined eight years as a head coach of Noblesville High School and East Central High School, both in Indiana. He served as a defensive backs coach at Colerain High School for five years, and was associate head coach at Mount Healthy High School and special teams coordinator for the College of Mount St. Joseph. In his seven years at East Central, he led teams to 35 wins and three consecutive regional championships, all firsts in the school's history. At Colerain, he was part of the 2004 state championship season. Besides spanning high school and collegiate programs, Coach Roden's coaching experience includes both small- and large-school experience.

Bill Schroer brings (10+) years of experience at the varsity level as a Varsity Assistant Coach. He is also a long time club coach on the West Side of Cincinnati and is currently coaching three teams at Cincinnati West including two Academy Elite teams and one Academy Red team. Athletic Director, Tony Hemmelgarn, had this to say about Coach Schroer, “We interviewed many quality candidates. What stood out about Bill was not only his passion for the sport, but for his commitment to developing young men and pushing them to create a great team and program experience. I am excited to see what the future holds!”
His vision includes uniting the Oak Hills community from the youth level through high school so everyone is excited about the prospect of competing and succeeding at Oak Hills and in the challenging GMC. Coach Schroer say, “I am excited for the opportunity of leading my alma mater, as a former player and graduate of Oak Hills High School. I look forward to the challenge of pushing our student athletes to achieve success in both the classroom and on the pitch.”
He is married to Lynn and has two boys Nicholas (13) and Michael (9).

Coach Spraul is a 2007 graduate of Oak Hills High School. He played club soccer growing up and played at Oak Hills. Coach Spraul went on to play four years in college at both Urbana University (NAIA) and Thomas More University (D3). He is a 2011 graduate from Thomas More University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Coach Spraul works at Oak Hills High School in the credit recovery program, and is the Executive Director of the Cincinnati West Soccer Club. Coach Spraul has been coaching youth soccer for over 10 years and began his successful, winning high school coaching career at Oak Hills. He started at Oak Hills in 2012 as the JVB Women's Soccer Head Coach. Brandon Unthank has been coaching Oak Hills High School in diving since he graduated from Oak Hills in 2004; first as an assistant and taking over the head coaching responsibilities in 2006. He has been very active in the world of diving also coaching at various local swim clubs in the summer, schools in the the winter, club diving year round with his traveling team, as well as starting up his own diving clinic at Oak Hills in 2007. Brandon graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2012 with a degree in Middle School Education (Mathematics and Science) where he currently works in the district as a full time sub at Rapid Run Middle School.
