Boys Hoops Split The Weekend 1-1

The boys varsity basketball team had two games over the weekend both at home. Friday night was a GMC matchup vs Middletown. The team came out very strong holding Middletown to no field goals made and only 4 points in the first half. After the Highlanders controlled the rest of the game for a 50-24 victory, and Coach Price picking up his 400th win in his career.  Kelen Dietrich put up 13 points in the win, and Jacob Berkemeier put up 9 points along with 7 rebounds. Grant Rembold grabbed 5 rebounds and Zach Moeller snagged 4 steals. The team outrebounded Middletown 28-21 and also forced them to 19 turnovers. Saturday night the Highlanders went up against La salle. It ended in a tough 39-37 loss in overtime. Zach Moeller had 13 points and 4 rebounds on the game. Oak Hills is now 10-6 on the year and 7-3 in conference play tied for second. The team looks to bounce back at home on Tuesday, January 29, vs Lakota West.
