Oak Hills rallied from a 25-9 first quarter deficit and knocked off GMC conference leader Princeton, 61-60, ending the Vikings 14 game winning streak. Junior forward Brynn Gourley hit 2 free throws with 10.7 seconds left on the clock to give Oak Hills their first and only lead of the game. Down 3 with 26 seconds remaining, sophomore Courtney Dean (10 points, 4 assists off the bench) converted on a layup off an assist from junior guard Anna Thomas, to cut the lead to one. Following a Viking turnover, Oak Hills was able to get the ball to Gourley, who was fouled and knocked down the free throws to win the game. Senior guard Dy Armfield led all scorers with 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to go with 4 assists. Anna Thomas finished with 15 points, a season-high 8 rebounds and a season-high 5 assists. Senior forward Jaylah Herzog finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds as the Highlanders controlled the glass against the much taller Vikings, 28-17. Oak Hills is now 12-6 on the season, 7-5 in the GMC.
