Top Ohio Boys' Basketball Team of the Week

Oak Hills – The Highlanders took sole possession of first place in the Greater Miami Conference with a 53-46 win over Lakota East Jan. 7.  

Top Ohio D1 Boys' Basketball Player of the Week

Austin Dennis, Oak Hills – The junior had a game-high 22 points Jan. 7 in a win over Lakota East, putting Oak Hills alone in first place in the GMC. He also had the winning steal last Friday against Lakota West. He is second in the GMC for field-goal percentage and has been bouncing back and forth to first as well. He shoots 88.9% from the free-throw line.  

Top Ohio D1 Girls' Basketball Player of the Week

Dy’Jhanik Armfield, Oak Hills – The senior guard had 20 points in the win over Hamilton Jan. 8 and 17 in the loss to Lakota East Jan. 11, giving her second place in the Greater Miami Conference in scoring average.  

Top Boys' Swimmer and Diver of the Week

Owen Pelzer, Oak Hills – The senior won the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly at the Princeton High School Swimming Invitational, to help the Highlanders to a second-place team finish.
