Hensley Places 23rd at State

Hensley

Oak Hills' single girl competitor, Eva Hensley, had a fantastic end to her freshman season.  Her start was strong enough to position her ahead of most of the traffic and she came through the 1 mile in 33rd.  After settling in and recomminting herself, the middle portion of Eva's race turned out to be very well executed as she moved up to 26th place at the 2 mile.  In the last 600m, she picked off 3 more girls and mustered a strong sprint down the final stretch.  She was neck and neck with the 20th place girl for a moment, but her competitors refused to give up and Eva finished the race in 23rd, earning her All-Ohio distinctions.
