Shellie Hageman has served as the Head Girls Cross Country Coach at Oak Hills High School since 2000 and is entering her fifth year as the Head Girls Track & Field Coach. Prior to becoming head coach of the track & field program, she spent eight years as an assistant coach.

Throughout her coaching career, Coach Hageman has helped develop numerous successful student-athletes and teams. Her accomplishments include coaching a two-time individual state champion, leading a team to a sixth-place finish at the state championships, and capturing two league championships, two district championships, and a regional championship.

Coach Hageman and her husband, Ben, also founded the OHYA Track & Field program in the Oak Hills Local School District. The program provides opportunities for students in grades K–6 to learn, develop, and compete in track & field while helping build a strong foundation for the future of the Highlander program.

A proud Oak Hills High School alumna, Coach Hageman was inducted into the Oak Hills Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013. She continued her athletic career at the University of Cincinnati, where she competed in both cross country and track & field.

Outside of coaching, Coach Hageman serves as a Physical Education teacher at Springmyer Elementary School. She previously spent 14 years as a Special Education teacher. Coach Hageman lives in the Oak Hills community with her husband, Ben, and their three daughters, Julia, Annabelle, and Josie Bea.

Dan Scholz Football Varsity Head Coach more details

Dan Scholz is in his second stint as Head Football coach. His first stint was from 2012-2014 football seasons with a 12-18 overall record leading the Highlanders.  Coach Scholz has 30 years coaching experience, with 9 of those 30 as a Head Coach. Besides the 3 years at OH, he was also Head Coach at New Richmond High School. His overall head coaching record is 53-38. At New Richmond, Coach Scholz led the Lions to the playoffs for only the 4th time in school history, as well as had back to back SBAAC league championships in 2010 and 2011 where he was voted Coach of the year. Coach Scholz has spent time as an assistant coach at Dublin Scioto 1995-1999, Colerain 2000-2007, Winton Woods 2016-2020, and most recently at Princeton 2021-2024, where he helped the Vikings get back to back GMC Championships. Coach Scholz has stated he is very thankful for this opportunity to be back with the Highlanders, and will work tirelessly to make Oak Hills football relevant in the GMC.

Coach has served as the Head Boys Varsity Golf Coach at Oak Hills High School since 2016, bringing years of coaching experience and a strong connection to the Highlander community.

Prior to leading the varsity golf program, he coached basketball at the middle school level. He served as the Head 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach at Delhi Middle School from 2011–2013 and later held the same position at Rapid Run Middle School from 2015–2019.

A 1985 graduate of Oak Hills High School, Coach continued his education at Wilmington College. As a proud Oak Hills alumnus, he enjoys the opportunity to give back to the school and community while helping develop Highlander student-athletes both on and off the golf course.

Coach and his wife, Nicole, are proud parents of two Oak Hills graduates, Alex (Class of 2024) and Natalie (Class of 2025). The family shares a strong connection to Oak Hills and the Highlander community.

Teri Egbers Girls Golf Varsity Head Coach more details

Teri Egbers serves as the Head Girls Varsity Golf Coach at Oak Hills High School, a position she has held since 2016. Prior to taking over the varsity program, Coach Egbers spent four years as the Oak Hills Middle School Girls Golf Coach and also coached boys golf at Bridgetown Middle School.

The mission of the Oak Hills Girls Golf program is to inspire young women to learn, compete, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the game of golf. Coach Egbers emphasizes building camaraderie, confidence, and self-esteem while helping each student-athlete improve her skills and embrace the athletic and personal challenges and successes the game provides.

An Oak Hills alumni, Coach Egbers has deep roots in the Highlander community, where she lives, works, and coaches. She serves as a counselor at Bridgetown Middle School and has worked in education since 1995, bringing more than 30 years of experience working with and supporting students.

Coach Egbers and her husband, Dan, have four children who share their family's strong connection to Oak Hills, academics, and athletics. She is proud to continue giving back to the community while helping develop the next generation of Highlander student-athletes.

Kevin Spraul Girls Soccer Varsity Head Coach more details

Coach Spraul is a 2007 graduate of Oak Hills High School, where he competed as a member of the Highlanders Soccer program after growing up playing club soccer. Following his high school career, he continued playing collegiately at Urbana University (NAIA) and Thomas More University (NCAA Division III). He graduated from Thomas More in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management.

Coach Spraul began his high school coaching career at Oak Hills in 2012 as the JVB Girls Soccer Head Coach, leading the team to an 11-1-3 record. In 2013, he transitioned to the boys program and served as the JVA Boys Soccer Head Coach, finishing the season with an 8-6-2 record.

From 2014–2015, Coach Spraul served as the Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach at Walnut Hills High School. During his tenure, the Eagles compiled a 22-9-4 record and achieved No. 1 rankings in both the city and state for the first time in program history.

In 2016, Coach Spraul returned to his alma mater to take over as the Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach at Oak Hills. Under his leadership, the Highlanders have captured a Greater Miami Conference (GMC) Championship, advanced to multiple district finals, and earned recognition among the top-ranked teams in both Cincinnati and the state of Ohio.

In addition to his responsibilities with Oak Hills Soccer, Coach Spraul works at Oak Hills High School in the credit recovery program and serves as the Executive Director of Cincinnati West Soccer Club. With more than a decade of youth and high school coaching experience, he has dedicated much of his career to developing soccer players throughout the west side community.

Coach Spraul holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National "D" Coaching License and currently resides in Delhi Township. A proud Oak Hills alumnus, he remains committed to developing student-athletes, building upon the tradition of Highlander Soccer, and representing his alma mater with pride.

Jeremy Miller Girls Tennis Varsity Head Coach more details

Coach Miller brings more than two decades of coaching experience to the Oak Hills athletic program and is currently in his 26th season of coaching. Throughout his career, he has spent 14 seasons coaching the girls program and 12 seasons coaching the boys program, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to developing student-athletes and growing the sport.

A graduate of Sycamore High School, Coach was a multi-sport student-athlete, competing in both cross country and tennis. His experiences as a student-athlete helped establish a lifelong appreciation for athletics and the positive impact coaches can have on young people.

In addition to his high school coaching experience, Coach has also coached middle school basketball at Delhi Middle School, further contributing to the development of student-athletes within the Oak Hills community.

Coach currently resides in Madeira with his wife, Kaylie, whom he has been married to for 11 years, and their two sons, Henry and Archie.

With 26 seasons of coaching experience, Coach remains committed to providing student-athletes with a positive and competitive environment while emphasizing development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong appreciation for athletics.

Coach McCarthy is a 2016 graduate of Oak Hills High School, where she was a standout member of the Highlanders Volleyball program. She competed at the varsity level all four years of her high school career and earned First Team All-GMC honors during both her junior and senior seasons.

Coach McCarthy is entering her sixth year coaching at Oak Hills. In 2024, she was named the Greater Miami Conference (GMC) Coach of the Year, recognizing her leadership, dedication, and continued commitment to the success of the Highlander Volleyball program.

In addition to coaching at Oak Hills, Coach McCarthy serves as the Assistant Director at CYVBC Surge, where she has coached for the past nine years. Her extensive club volleyball experience includes coaching teams at both the National and Open levels, providing her with a strong background in player development and high-level competition.

A proud Oak Hills alumna, Coach McCarthy brings energy, passion, and Highlander pride to the program. Her commitment to the game of volleyball and the Oak Hills community continues to positively impact her student-athletes both on and off the court.
