Brian has been coaching competitive swimming for 6 years now, working with all ages and levels of performance. A former division 1 and 3 athlete, Brian is finishing his collegiate career with a bachelor's degree in biology, psychology, and education- his three pillars of coaching.
In his first season with the Highlanders (2025-26), he led the team to an overall winning record, a majority personal best times, and personal growth. He was awarded the GMC Coach of the Year award for both the mens' and womens' teams.
Brian is a husband to his wife, Kiersten, and father to his son, Henry. He currently is the lead sattelite coach at GNY of the Powel Crosley jr. YMCA Tigershark swim team and a level 2 certified coach of the American Swim Coaches Association. Brian hopes to help every athlete reach their goals in and out of the pool. He is looking forward to the long-term success of the Oak Hills Swimming and Diving team. 

Coach Klosterman is in his 22nd year in education, 21 of those years within the Oak Hills Local School District.  He has worked at four different schools within the district (Bridgetown Middle School, Oakdale Elementary, J.F. Dulles Elementary, and Oak Hills High School) as a teacher or administrator and has previously coached football and track in addition to being the head coach of the Academic Quiz Team.

Coach Klosterman participated in football in high school and college, helping the College of Mount St. Joseph to a top 25 national ranking (Division III) in his senior year.  He received a Bachelor's Degree in History from MSJ in 2005 and would go on to earn a Master Degree in Educational Administration from Xavier University in 2007 and a Gifted Endorsement from the University of Cincinnati in 2011.

In 2012, Coach Klosterman was recognized by the Hamilton County Education Foundation as the Celebrate Excellence Award Winner from the Oak Hills Local School District.

Coach Klosterman lives in the Oak Hills District with his wife Jadyn, a teacher at Bridgetown Middle School, and their four children - Avery (10th grader at OHHS), Amelia (9th grade at OHHS), Alice (7th grade at Rapid Run), and Abram (5th grade at J.F. Dulles).

Jim Comarata coaches basketball with a simple conviction: the young women he works with will be people far longer than they will be basketball players. That belief shapes every practice, conversation, and season.

His focus is on five habits that last well beyond the gym—Attitude, Effort, Accountability, Discipline, and Teamwork. These are not slogans. They are the skills players will need as they move through school, work, family, and community. He measures success by how his athletes compete and by how they carry themselves when the scoreboard is no longer the measure.

Coaching and Mentorship
From 2022 to 2025, Coach Comarata served as Head Coach of Varsity Basketball at Mercy McAuley High School, building a program around preparation, culture, and growth. Since 2009 he has also worked as a personal basketball trainer, developing individual skill while holding the same standards of effort and accountability he brings to a team.

Playing Background
A multi-sport athlete at LaSalle High School, he competed in varsity baseball and basketball. He continued that path at Christian Brothers University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing on a baseball scholarship.

Professional Leadership
Alongside and before his coaching work, Coach Comarata built a long career at UFP Industries, rising to Executive Vice President and retiring in 2022 after 38 years of service (1984–2022). That executive experience informs how he leads: with clarity, high standards, and a belief that people grow when they are trusted, challenged, and held accountable.

Coach Comarata’s purpose is straightforward and demanding: develop better basketball players, and develop even better people.

Coach Bridges is currently in his 13th year of coaching and his eighth season as the Head Coach of the Oak Hills Highlanders. He began his coaching career at Colerain High School before joining the Oak Hills program.

During his tenure at Oak Hills, Coach Bridges has helped lead the Highlanders to two state appearances, two Greater Miami Conference (GMC) championships, and a 2024 sectional title. Under his leadership, numerous Highlander bowlers have earned First Team and Second Team All-GMC honors.

Coach Bridges was recognized for his leadership and the program’s success by being named the 2024 GMC Coach of the Year and the 2024 Cincinnati Coach of the Year. He continues to build a competitive and successful program while developing student-athletes both on and off the lanes.

My name is Robin Hoernschmeyer, and I’ve proudly served as the Head Girls Bowling Coach at Oak Hills High School since 2012. I’m a 2005 Oak Hills graduate and went on to earn my degree in Middle Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati.

After spending six years as a substitute teacher in the Oak Hills Local School District, I transitioned into the nonprofit world. I currently work as the Development Office Manager at Ohio Valley Voices, a school in Loveland where children who are deaf or hard of hearing learn to listen and speak.

Bowling has always been a big part of my life—I’ve bowled for as long as I can remember. One of my proudest moments was rolling my first perfect 300 game in 2021 at Western Bowl. As a student at Oak Hills, I was a member of the Girls Varsity Bowling Team from 2003–2005. During the 2004–2005 season, our team placed 5th at the state tournament, and I placed 2nd overall as an individual.

I grew up in Delhi and still live there with my family and our four pets. Becoming a Coach has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Over the years, I’ve led four teams to first place finishes in the GMC, received the GMC Coach of the Year award four times, coached numerous athletes who earned 1st and 2nd Team All-Conference honors, and had an individual bowler reach the state tournament in 2016.

The 2025-2026 bowling season was, to date, the most memorable of my 15-year coaching career. The Varsity A ladies had an outstanding season, followed by an exceptional post-season. At Sectionals, they came in 1^st place, for the first time in Lady Highlander bowling history, advancing to Districts. At Districts, for the first time in 20 years, they placed 3^rd overall, punching their ticket to the State Championships; where they placed 10^th overall. For the first time in my coaching career, I also had a Senior earn GMC Player of the Year honors.

 In addition to coaching the Lady Highlanders, I continue to stay involved with the OHYA bowling program, which had over 170 youth bowlers last season! We already have more than 30 athletes signed up for the 2026-2027 season, and I can't wait to get this season started!

Brandon, a 2004 graduate of Oak Hills High School, has been coaching the sport of diving for more than 20 years. A lifelong Highlander, he has spent his entire coaching career with the Oak Hills Diving program. He began as an assistant coach for two seasons before taking over as head coach, a position he has held ever since.

Throughout his career, Coach Brandon has worked with divers of all ages and ability levels, ranging from elementary-aged athletes to Masters competitors. His extensive coaching experience includes leading and managing numerous teams while helping athletes reach success at every level of competition. Divers under his guidance have earned conference, state, national, and NCAA championships, along with numerous other individual and team accomplishments.

Brandon graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2012 with a degree in Middle School Education. He works in the Oak Hills Local School District at Rapid Run Middle School, where he has been a full-time staff member since 2018, working with students in the EBD unit.

When he is not coaching or working with students, Brandon enjoys spending time with his three boys. He volunteers his time coaching many of their sports, including baseball, soccer, football, and, of course, diving.

Brandon and his boys enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, whether visiting amusement parks and national parks, camping, or finding their next adventure. When they aren't on the go, they enjoy relaxing at home with pizza and games.

As an Oak Hills alumnus, educator, coach, and parent, Brandon takes great pride in serving the Highlander community and continuing to develop the next generation of Oak Hills divers.

David Crawford is entering his eighth season with the Oak Hills Wrestling program. He began coaching at the varsity level during the 2018–19 season, serving as an assistant coach. That same year, he also became involved with the Oak Hills youth wrestling program, serving as its head coach and coordinator.

In addition to his work with Oak Hills Wrestling, Coach Crawford operates a USA Wrestling-affiliated club on Cincinnati’s west side, helping develop wrestlers and grow the sport within the local community.

Outside of wrestling, Coach Crawford and his wife, Miranda, are business owners who operate a custom apparel company and a lawn care business.

Coach Crawford remains committed to developing wrestlers at all levels and helping build a strong foundation for the Oak Hills Wrestling program from youth through the varsity level.
