Coach Sowders brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Oak Hills. Coach Sowders spent the majority of his career at Harrison High School, where he was the head coach for 14 years, accumulating 231 wins. During his tenure, he guided the Wildcats to six League Titles, three Sectional Titles, and one District Title.  He was named the Cincinnati Coach of the Year in 2015 as well as the Conference Coach of the Year seven times.  During his time at Harrison, he helped over 125 players advance to play collegiate baseball.

Coach Sowders is also the founder and director of Cincinnati Future Stars. Through that program, he has coached 250 players who have advanced to play collegiate baseball, as well as nine drafted into Major League Baseball.

Coach Sowders received his undergraduate degree from Hanover College and his Masters from Miami University.
