Coach Jared Meyer is entering his sixth season as the Head Boys Volleyball Coach at Oak Hills High School. A former Highlander standout, Coach Meyer was a three-year varsity player and served as team captain during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. In 2013, he helped lead the Highlanders to a GMC Championship, followed by a regional finals appearance in 2014. During his playing career at Oak Hills, Coach Meyer established himself as one of the program’s top performers, finishing among the school’s top ten in several statistical categories, including serve attempts, aces, and kill efficiency. He continues to hold program records for assists per game, assists per match, assists in a season, and career assists. Following his high school career, Coach Meyer continued playing at the University of Cincinnati, competing for two seasons with the UC Men’s Club Volleyball team. In 2015, the team climbed as high as No. 7 in the national rankings. Coach Meyer began his coaching career at Oak Hills, serving as an assistant under Brian Baugh before continuing his coaching experience as an assistant at La Salle. He later returned to Oak Hills to lead the program he once represented as a student-athlete. As a former Highlander player and current head coach, Coach Meyer brings a strong understanding of the history and traditions of Oak Hills Volleyball, along with a passion for the sport and the development of young student-athletes. He remains committed to building upon the program’s foundation while continuing the proud tradition of Highlander Volleyball.
